A turning head.

Loop effects are forced in this study for inspection.

Geometry

Canvas relief with pinned contacts. Position moves the upper figure and carries the head with it.

View Show room

Right-drag to rotate the hallway; scroll to zoom. The head stays steady during camera drags.

Input

Expression Expression strength 0.65

Depth

Portrait depth controls the whole relief. Head and upper body volume control shape. Upper body position moves the figure forward or backward independently; the lower band and frame contacts stay pinned.

Positive values move forward; negative values move back. The head stays attached to the body.

Surface

The 4K Tripo texture with the eyeballs cleaned. Skin changes the face, neck and eyes; the hair and clothes stay. A skin chosen here morphs into the next in 0.1 s; Auto's flashes take 0.05 s.

Neck study

One pose three ways, and the earlier ways of holding the neck at the collar (tasks/portrait-3d-neck-deformation.md). Default: rig v3 with the contact hold.

Seat A: the skin under the collar's edge keeps its place; above it the neck frees up over the band, wholly by the given height.

Controls

Move the cursor to guide the head and eyes. Hold the right mouse button and drag to rotate the hallway; scroll to zoom. Ctrl + arrow keys also rotate the camera when the painting is focused. Reset camera restores the front view without changing the pose. Show room works independently in both views. Space pauses; R resets the camera. Keys 1–4 choose the state, Q and W the figure, A and S the view, Z and X the mode. The lower band and frame contacts stay pinned in both views; relief rises gradually through the shoulders toward the head. Pose sliders work while paused.

A separate 3D rig study. The atlas study and hallway story are independent.
